Mod#9 – Save servo: don’t omit it !

The original mounting instructions are clearly stating that a save-servo is needed. Some would argue that these days, with the Chinese investing the market, a save-servo costs almost the price of a new servo. Maybe… not sure though which quality of servo we are talking about. But in any case… consider that the Rocky maybe has a good specific reason to have one: the very specific and weak bell crank design makes the addition of a save-servo mandatory.

It you break that one, you would be in great trouble since this part is just not be found ANYWHERE in the world !

So here we go. Two Rockies of our float were missing the original save-servo so we had to buy retro-fit ones. Just follow the manual instructions, it is a 15mn fit. The only risk is to over-tight the screws in the soft plastic shell: be careful !
